For the characters of the award-winning children’s game “Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke".

The Caligari Film- und Fernsehproduktions GmbH Munich has secured the movie and TV rights to the game classic “ZICKE ZACKE HÜHNERKACKE” by ZOCH the Munich game publisher, including the characters and figures involved.

ZOCH has had worldwide success with its board game program for the whole family. The kick-off was the BAUSACK 20 years ago. The breakthrough came in 1998 with the children’s game ““ZICKE ZACKE HÜHNERKACKE”. Six more chicken games followed, so that a complex and above all sassy chicken yard world has developed thanks to the graphic design of Doris Matthäus. The children’s game has now been sold more than 700,000 times, has appeared in more than 20 foreign editions and has won the internationally prestigious prizes ”Special prize Children’s Game of the Year“ and “Best German Children's Game“ as well as additional national and international awards. “With Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke (in USA: CHICKEN CHA CHA CHA) we have a real bestseller on our hands“, says Zoch CEO Albrecht Werstein. “A movie would be the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream.”

In Caligari Film the ZOCH publishing house has acquired one of the leading movie production firms in the children’s and youth sector as a partner. CEO Gabriele Walther has many years of experience and was responsible for the two movies LETTER FROM FELIX and FELIX 2 – DIE VERFLIXTE ZEITMASCHINE which together attracted more than two million spectators to the cinemas.

For the future the two partners have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement. “With its figures ZICKE and ZACKE the Zoch publishing house has created a strong brand, whose attraction lies in its graphic design and the playful use of language“, says Gabriele Walther.
