A clever donkey game

Los Mampfos - "nominated for kids game of the year 2006"

10.08.2006

LOS MAMPFOS is a clever donkey game for two to five children aged 6 years and up. The sense of the game is to feed the donkeys while they trot on the path. If you can remember which oat biscuits are coming out when the donkeys lift their tail up, you can gather them all. "Nominated for kid game of the years 2006"

The components of the game are exceptionally well made and instantly eye catching, especially the three large wooden donkeys. Other components are a set of cards, five player choice wheels and five sets of different colour wooden “oat biscuits”. The players in turn reveal a card and either feed and move one of the donkeys, or they allow the donkey to do its business. If the players guess correctly what colour oat biscuits are going to come out of the donkey’s rear end they get them all. The winner is the player with the most processed oat biscuits. The board is made up of twelve path tiles around which the donkeys move. The only reason for moving the donkeys is to confuse the other players, and believe it; after the donkeys have been moved a few times it works.

Once again Zoch have designed a game with children in mind but that is really an adult game as well. It may only be a memory game but it’s too good for kids.
