Elena Fyrogeni
I was born in Athens, Greece in 1971. I studied Business administration in France at the “Université de Toulon et du Var” and followed some courses of Human resources and Public relations in Belgium.
I worked for four years in the Marketing field in Greece and afterwards I left for Italy where I lived for ten years and where I founded my company, publishing my first board game, “Squek”.
During that period I also gave rights of other of my games and worked also as Agent for other board game designers. Currently I live in Greece and I am working as a retail manager.
Hobbies:
I like working out, reading and watching thrillers.
Games I would take with me to a remote island:
To a remote island I would take sudokus and puzzles.
This is how I find my game ideas:
I get the ideas I like best when I am relaxed often doing something completely irrelative. Nevertheless many of my ideas for games came while I was concentrated in front of a piece of paper.
Zozzle-Memopuzzle was created for my first born daughter, Loreley, as a keepsake to be given to the guests for her baptism. Another game is about to be completed dedicated to my second daughter Anelise.
I like playing because...
Playing exercises one’s brain and it is fun.
My first game:
The first game I ever created and which I published on my own was 'Squek'. Six years ago I gave the rights of 'Squek' to other companies. 'Squek' is still available in some countries. In Italy, eleven years after its first publication, it is sold in three different versions having the same success it had the first years of its distribution.
