Alessandro Zucchini

I am 43 years old and I live in Modena (Italy). I studied sports to become a Gymnastic teacher but, after nearly 8 years doing that job, I changed, and now I’m Energy Manager in one of the best Italian steel-factory.
I play games since my youth, starting with wargames and roleplay games (D&D). I discovered ‘german games’ (as we call them in Italy) only in 2002 and two years later I started trying to invent them, when I met Carlo Rossi, with whom and another friend, Alfredo Berni, founded an author’s group, called CogitoStudio. In 2006 CogitoStudio joined with the famous Studiogiochi in Venice. Now, I’m very happy to keep on collaborating with all of them
Hobbies:
I continue playing D&D with my old group, and this is my main hobby. Even if I was a gym teacher now I’m very lazy, so I enjoy reading or playing games with my sons, a 12 years boy and a daughter 5 years old.
Games I would take with me to a remote island:
Assuming to be on a polinesian island, I’ll bring with me D&D, Niagara, El Grande and Volle Wolle. I think it’s enough because I’ll spend much of my time catching tan, swimming and playing beach volley.

How do I get ideas for games:
There isn’t a particular way to get ideas. They come suddenly, when you didn’t expect them. But, to increase the possibility to have new ones, I observe as my children do, I read books, or I watch television. Some ideas were born in my office, simply kidding with my colleagues
I like playing because
Because I think is the best way to spend an evening with old friends or to see your children having fun.
My first game:
"Palatinus" (Da Vinci Games)
Games
- 2007 Volle Wolle
- 2010 Mord im Arosa
