Beethupferl

Beethupferl turns a vegetable patch into a lively children's game where watering sets the whole bed in motion. Each player takes a cardboard watering can, fills it with blue marbles as water drops and sends them across the 3D garden bed. When a drop rolls over the right spot, the field tile rotates on its own axis and reveals a vegetable, creating a clear cause-and-effect moment that is easy to follow and fun to repeat. For 1-4 players aged 4+, the game combines simple handling with visible action at the table. The garden setup uses a vegetable bed with 16 hollows, 30 patch tiles, 4 grass areas, 4 watering cans, 20 water drops and 1 bowl. The central task is to bring up the third vegetable of the same variety through careful watering, then harvest that plant before the snails get in the way. This links aiming, recognition and matching in one round structure without overloading younger players with long rules. Bernhard Weber created the game concept, and illustrations by Stefanie Reich give the vegetables, insects and garden scene a bright, playful look. A full round works well as a short tabletop session, with the 15-minute play time fitting neatly into an afternoon game break. The rotating tiles and rolling marbles keep hands busy and eyes on the bed, whether 2 players compete head to head or 4 players crowd around the garden to watch the next sprout appear.
