Das Kleinhorn vom Riesenwald

Das Kleinhorn vom Riesenwald brings 4 giant figures, 36 unicorn tokens and 48 playing cards into a colorful collecting game where matching colors and creatures decides every move. In about 20 minutes, 2-4 players guide the giant of the played card color through the forest and gather the unicorn shown on the card, creating a clear turn flow that younger players can follow with confidence. The rules add more than simple matching. A card may be played when it shares either the same color or the same unicorn type as the previous card, so each hand offers different options. The forest is built from 12 open stacks of 3 unicorn tokens, which means a collected token can reveal another creature underneath. If the next revealed unicorn matches a card in hand, collecting can continue in the same turn, creating short chain reactions. When no matching unicorn is visible on a free space, the giant stays put and a unicorn of that type may be taken from another player instead. Authors Benjamin Schwer and Emma Schwer shape the game around recognition and comparison, while Michele Cavaloti gives the unicorn world its playful look. Rounds stay active because the giant figures do not belong to individual players; all players may move them as the cards dictate. Collected unicorns are placed openly in front of each player, so the growing hoards remain visible throughout the game and the final comparison is easy at the end.
