Rauf und runter

Rauf und Runter turns a chicken ladder climb into a fast family dice game where every round balances momentum, timing and nerve. Designed for 2-5 players aged 8 and above, the game runs for about 30 minutes and uses a flutter number to show how much speed a chicken needs before the climb begins. The mechanism stays easy to follow while leaving room for tactical choices. 5 dice are rolled to build the right combination, and the result decides whether a chicken climbs, stalls or slips back down the ladder. Feathers are not just decoration in this race; they can be given up to cushion a risky move and keep a run going. The box contents support that changing board state with 10 chickens, 16 ladder cards, 5 flutter tracks, 35 feathers, 1 dung-heap card and 5 dice. Andreas Kuhnekath-Häbler created the game, and Doris Matthäus gives the farmyard scramble its expressive look with lively chicken characters and clear visual cues on the table. Around the table, turns move quickly because each roll creates an immediate decision between caution and speed. The multilingual edition includes DE, GB, FR and IT, making it easy to bring into mixed-language game groups or family rounds where the chicken race, the shifting ladder positions and the feather trade-offs keep everyone watching the next throw.
