Geistesblitz

Geistesblitz is a fast reaction game for 2 to 8 players aged 8 and up, built around 5 large wooden figures and 60 photo cards. A card is turned so everyone sees it at once, and the table shifts instantly into a race of eyes, hands and quick decisions as the right figure has to be identified before anyone else reaches it. The core rule gives the game its snap. When a figure appears on the card in its original color, that exact figure must be grabbed. When neither pictured figure is shown in its real color, the correct choice is the figure whose shape is missing from the card and whose original color is missing too. That simple switch turns every reveal into a sharp test of observation and logic. The set uses a ghost, chair, bottle, book and mouse, so the visual language stays easy to read even when the pace rises. Jacques Zeimet created the game, and Gabriela Silveira gave the components their distinctive look. A second variant adds another decision layer: if a book appears on the card, nobody grabs and the correct figure must be called out instead. Wrong grabs or wrong calls cost a card, so each turn rewards speed that stays accurate. With a playing time of about 20 minutes, Geistesblitz suits quick rounds at the table and repeat matches where the group learns the patterns while the cards keep the pressure high.
