Hamsterrolle

Hamsterrolle centres the action on a large upright ring filled with colourful wooden pieces, creating a balancing game where every move changes the tension on the table. With 2 to 4 players and an age recommendation of 7 years and up, each round invites careful placement, close attention and a steady hand as the structure shifts with every added shape. The distinctive circular construction gives Hamsterrolle its visual identity and its mechanism at the same time: pieces are placed onto the ring arrangement, and the changing weight distribution affects what can follow. The set uses differently shaped components rather than identical counters, so position and fit matter from move to move. Jacques Zeimet is named as the game author, and the physical setup stands out through the combination of the yellow ring and multicoloured wooden elements. A game lasts around 30–40 minutes. On a family games night, the upright ring quickly becomes the focus as players study gaps, test balance and react to the last placement. The format suits shorter sessions as well as repeat rounds, because the visible structure on the table changes throughout play and keeps the challenge easy to read at a glance.
