Beasty Bar

Beasty Bar turns a simple line of waiting animals into a sharp, funny card game where every move can change who gets into the club. In the Jostling area, cards build a queue toward Heaven's Gate, and whenever 5 animals are waiting, the 2 at the front enter the Beasty Bar while the last card is bounced out. That structure keeps the table state easy to read while giving each turn a clear tactical edge. The set contains 48 animal cards, with 12 animals in each of 4 card colours, plus 2 Heaven's Gate or Bounced cards, 1 Beasty Bar card, 1 THAT'S IT card and 2 reference sheets. Authors Stefan Kloß and Anna Oppolzer build the play around distinct animal actions rather than generic number comparison, and illustrator Alexander Jung gives each creature a strong comic presence that helps the effects stay memorable. A lion pushes straight to the front, a parrot sends any animal away, and a chameleon copies another species in the line for a single action. Points are tied to the animals that make it into the bar, so card strength and timing do not always point in the same direction. With 2 to 4 players and a playing time of around 20 minutes, the queue keeps changing between turns as recurring actions continue to trigger and the order at Heaven's Gate shifts again. Beasty Bar suits lively rounds at the table where quick decisions, reading card effects and watching the line closely matter from the first animal to the final scoring.
