Die Trödler aus den Highlands

die Trödler aus den Highlands sends 2-4 players onto trading routes through the Scottish Highlands, where sharp observation and tactical card use decide which villages can be reached and which deliveries score at the right moment. The central mechanism starts with several piles of cards placed in the middle of the table, and each turn depends on drawing from the right pile after watching closely how the stacks were built. The route cards do more than move carts across the board. Hidden bridges, ferries and moor paths create openings that can change a planned delivery, while 48 goods keep the board state in motion as requests are fulfilled for points. Feed adds another layer to the decisions around the horse, because pushing transport too far can benefit opponents instead of securing the lead. Carlo A. Rossi designed this family game, and Dennis Lohausen gives the Highlands setting its lively villages, waterways and market scenes. The box contains 110 playing cards, 4 cart figures, 1 horse figure and 1 gameboard. A session runs for about 45 minutes, making it well suited to an evening round where route reading, hand management and timing stay in focus from start to finish. With DE, EN, FR and IT rules included, the game also fits multilingual tables where the same board and components can return for repeated matchups.
